Head of Solution Architecture

About the job 

As a Head of Solution Architecture, you will lead the definition of technology strategy and architectural vision. You’ll consult with clients to implement the right technologies and guide the architecture team across multiple projects, ensuring alignment and strategic decision-making. Your role includes overseeing the development of scalable architectural frameworks, driving innovation, being part of pre-sales process and ensuring solutions meet current and future business needs. You’ll collaborate with senior stakeholders and delivery teams to support division goals and foster continuous improvement. As a senior leader, you’ll influence executive decisions, provide guidance across teams, and champion architectural standards. Your expertise in application design, cloud technologies, and enterprise architecture will shape both individual projects and the division’s long-term technical direction.

• Proven leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and guide teams in achieving technical and business objectives.
• A strategic thinker, capable of aligning technical solutions with long-term business goals.
• Significant experience in web application development and modern web technologies.
• Strong hands-on experience in a Solution Architect or similar role.
• Familiarity with one or more CMS or DXP platforms (Preferably Sitecore).
• Knowledge of one or more cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Ability to influence and shape high-level decisions across the Sitecore Division.
• Effective communication and presentation skills in English.
• Ability to independently understand the client’s business goals and decompose complex problems.
• Precision, self-organization, reliability, and consistency.
• A proactive attitude toward self-improvement and continuous learning, along with research into current and emerging technologies.
• Ability to identify weaknesses, suggest necessary changes, and conduct proof of concept evaluations.
• A collaborative mindset for working effectively with other team members.

What's nice to have:

• Knowledge of modern web development practices such as microservice architecture, cloud security, high-availability, and serverless approaches.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases, ElasticSearch, Solr.
• Experience with programming languages (ideally C# and .NET technologies).
• Front-end architecture knowledge, particularly with React/Next.js applications.
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools (Infrastructure Architecture Design, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, etc.).
